Inside, the air handler or furnace cabinet holds the evaporator coil and the blower. The evaporator coil absorbs heat from the air moving across it, and the blower pushes that air through the house. The refrigerant line set runs between the two units and carries refrigerant in both directions. A fault in the coil, the blower motor, or the line set will show up as weak cooling, ice on the equipment, or no airflow at all.
